I bet everyone likes to traveling, me too, using my N82 with built in GPS, afraid not getting lost. Using Nokia Maps (installed with data map according to your region where you bought your phone), I can go anywhere without worrying about where I am and where should I go.
Another program called Google Maps, where you can use this as third party program to find out your whereabouts, personally I used both of these programs to help me find my location. I don't know which one is the best, here I am going to describe the advantage and disadvantage with both of these programs. With Nokia maps, you can input data first of region where you wish to go or you might be. take example you are going to travel to Malaysia, maybe even China, you can download the data map first using Nokia Map Loader (i am not going to show how to use this Nokia Map Loader), the region of Malaysia take example, and when you go to Malaysia, you can view your location within Malaysia region.
Using Google Maps, you might find it hard to get your location in Malaysia (well, even the GPS signal is strong), but you must use GPRS or WIFI connection to retrieve data maps. but using Nokia Maps you can see the map offline because you already input data before. Well, but if you going to new place without inputting data map first, you can't see your map, but using Google Maps you still able to retrieve data map (of course with data connection).
I find it quite fun using Google Maps because I can use it almost anywhere where you still able to get data connection, secondly, I can try to search famous location using search feature by google search, something you can't do with Nokia Maps where data map included.
Anyway, if you like to going around, I recommended you using both of these programs to help you find where is your location. Trust me, it is worthy !!
